about

Unusual sounding, WDIAR will probably put a smile on your face.
Sit back and let the scenes take form in your minds' eye...

lyrics

LYRICS
When I woke up this morning, a strange thought crossed my mind
Call it intuition, superstition, or something of that kind
But I ignored it, as I ignore her
Ate my two muffins, and read my paper
I kissed her on the cheek and ran

As I got back from work, the front door was wide open
Empty closets, open drawers, no trace of my girlfriend
And on the counter, the goldfish and a note
Explanations, accusations, but all I could think of
Is that she took my couch and ran

Had I known Iʼd have such a bad day
I would have stayed in bed
With my head under my pillow
Iʼd have no bad luck to dread

I got into my car, and I drove straight into town
Parked my Volvo, went to Carlosʼ for a beer to cool down
But when I walked out, could not believe my eyes
A dented fender, hanging bumper, another bad surprise :
some prick had trashed my car and run

Sometimes you should just stay in bed
Listen to the voice in your head
But everything went wrong instead
But everything went wrong instead

As I was walking back home, I stumbled on an old bag
I looked inside, to my surprise, it was full of greenbacks
No one to my left, no one to my right
Only my conscience; it offered no fight
So I just grabbed the cash and ran!
So I just grabbed the cash and ran!
So I just grabbed the cash and ran!
